Basaveshwara Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha (B.V.V. Sangha) was established in 1906 through the far-sighted vision and progressive leadership of His Holiness Shri Gurubasava Mahaswamiji, Bilur. Founded with the noble objective of imparting value-based education and nurturing strong moral and cultural values among the younger generation, the Sangha began its journey as a humble Sanskrit Pathashala.
Over more than a century of dedicated service, B.V.V. Sangha has evolved into one of the most respected educational organisations in the region. Guided by its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, ethical values, and holistic development, the Sangha has significantly expanded its educational footprint.
Today, B.V.V. Sangha manages over 170 educational institutions across Bagalkot, Belagavi (Belgaum), and Bilur (Maharashtra), offering quality education across diverse disciplines. Its institutions continue to serve as centres of excellence, fostering innovation, research, professional competence, and social responsibility while contributing meaningfully to nation-building and community development.
